My partner and I are interested in building a straw bale studio and home, and are very fortunate to have a flying start of a fully equiped shed with machinery to begin constructing some of the doors, windows, rafters etc etc required for the home ahead of time from when we actually commence construction.

I am posting this message to notify you all, in the event that you may have some plans/detailed drawings of windows or doors that would be suitable for straw bale construction methods. We have been made aware of the high costs involved in obtaining these things new, and given the nature of the dwellings we are especially keen on obtaining plans of how to construct double glazed windows, as this would best aid our insulation/noise needs.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Referrals to businesses, websites or other information would be very welcome, as well as any tips from those who may have done this before us.
