If the government ever gives out grants like the pink batts, it might be worth investigating even more.

I am interested in the use of roof ventilators in bush fire prone areas.
Any one have any thoughs or know where I can get information ?

Can I suggest you google AS3959-2009 , or the website http://www.bushfireinfo.com
The specs on my plans interpret the above AusStandard as "All components of roof ventilators must be of non-combustible material."
